Caden Pearson is an early-career emerging writer, director and producer from Cairns, Queensland.
In June 2017, Caden was selected for the 'Black Comedy' (ABC) writing workshop, pitching and writing sketches for the third season.

In September 2015, Caden completed a 3 week On-Set Producer’s Attachment on ‘The Code’ series 2 (ABC), mentored by series writer and producer Shelly Birse. He has written, directed and produced three short documentaries for the National Indigenous Television (NITV) series 'Our Stories.' In 2014, Caden provided story development and script editing to short drama 'On Stage' (Directed by Benjamin Southwell, Produced by Turn Dog Quick Films) commissioned through Screen Australia's Pitch Black Short Drama Production program.

Most filmmakers want to hide their first ever films (especially high school projects!) and I was no exception until I edited my 15-year-old self out of this one.
I'm actually very honoured to have made 'Homeland'.
It garnered a few small honours in the 2004 Queensland New Filmmakers Awards and the 2005 Cairns Youth Film Festival. But most importantly, it lit a fire inside me to tell stories that has never extinguished.
I share it with you here as a significant part of my history.
